PART2STYLE、ZEN RYDAZ の MaL によるソロアルバム「Primal Dub」シリーズはインストアルバムながら iTunes レゲエチャート１位を獲得、Apple Music も海外で軒並みTOP 10入りするなど、各方面から好評を得た。そして今年6月、メロウで穏やかなダブが新境地へと向かいつつ進化を遂げた「Primal Dub2」(2023年1月リリース) から本人も特に思い入れのある2曲「DUBFUN」と「FLY」を7インチカット。DUBFUN は MaL の次女がアルトサックスと声での参加、そして FLY はボーカリストに ACHARU をフィーチャー。今回のVinyl化に向けて新たにEditを施した意欲作となっている。
カバーアートはアルバム同様、東京のアンダーグラウンドシーンに火を灯し続ける BEST MATCH CORNER によるもの。

＜＜MaL バイオグラフィー＞＞
トラックメーカー、DJ、プロデューサー。
これまでベースミュージック・クルー “PART2STYLE” として世界各国、数々のパーティーやフェスティバルでプレイし、世界中のサウンドシステム・ミュージックファンやトップ・プレイヤー達から高い評価を受けている。国内外のアーティストへの楽曲提供、Remix、CM楽曲制作など数多くこなしつつ、DJとしてもBIG FloorからChillin’なプレイまでスタイルのレンジが広く、出音も体格もヘビーウエイト。2021年、夏に全治9ヶ月の大怪我による80日に及ぶ入院生活の中、病室で制作したソロ名義としては初のアルバム「Primal Dub」を2022年1月にリリース。Apple Music、iTunes レゲエアルバムチャートで１位を獲得。インストアルバムとしては異例のセールスを記録した。これは自身もレーベル運営に関わる新鋭レーベル Hoodish Recordings からの第一弾としてのリリースで、後続してコンスタントにリリースを繰り返す音源のミキシングやマスタリング、プロデュースワークも行なう。さらに2023年1月に発表したセカンドソロアルバム「Primal Dub2」も前作同様、巷で話題沸騰中。J.A.K.A.M. と MACHA-CHIN とのプロデューサーユニット “ZEN RYDAZ” としてもこれまで２枚のアルバムをリリースし話題を集めている。

The “Primal Dub” series by MaL of PART2STYLE and ZEN RYDAZ have received favorable reviews from various music critics and fans around the world, including reaching the No. 1 spot on the iTunes reggae charts and reaching the top 10 on Apple Music overseas. Two songs “DUBFUN” and “FLY” will be released on a 7-inch vinyl record from his latest solo album “Primal Dub2”, a mellow and gentle dub album that has evolved into a new genre of music. DUBFUN was joined by MaL’s younger daughter on alto saxophone and voice. And FLY features singer ACHARU on vocals. Both songs are newly edited for this 7-inch vinyl release, limited quantity.
The cover art is by an artist BEST MATCH CORNER who continues to light up the Tokyo underground scene.

Track maker, DJ and producer.
As the member of bass music crew “PART2STYLE”, MaL has performed at numerous DJ parties and festivals around the world, and he has received high praise from sound system music fans and top artists across the globe. MaL also provides music, remixes, and commercial productions for many domestic and international artists, and as a DJ, he has a wide range of styles from BIG Floor to Chillin’ moods. He is a heavyweight in both sound and size. In January 2022, he released his first solo album “Primal Dub”, which debuted at #1 on the Apple Music and iTunes reggae album charts. The album sold exceptionally well for an instrumental album. This was the first release from the up-and-coming Hoodish Recordings label. MaL has also done mixing, mastering, and production work for a series of releases from the label. His second album “Primal Dub2”, released in January 2023, has been getting a lot of attention as well. MaL is also the member of the producers unit “ZEN RYDAZ” with J.A.K.A.M. and MACHA-CHIN, endorsed by many younger generations, which has released two albums to date.
